My best asset as a writer is my ability to work in many formats and mediums.
In my Creative Marketing role with IQPC, my writing activities included: web copy, email marketing, social media marketing campaigns, custom articles, e-books, infographics, press releases and other creative copy where necessary. I was also entrusted to edit and review all marketing copy on a daily basis. (Here’s a whitepaper I wrote on Consistent Customer Management Strategies… I’m nothing if not versatile.)
My original articles were an integral part of collegehoops.net’s success. Other outlets that have published my work include Rivals.com, Scout.com, HuffingtonPost, Rookie Review Magazine, and Hoopsworld Magazine. Most recently, I’ve had a few articles published in the new print Collier’s Magazine. My published writing has covered the NBA, NBA Draft, college basketball, high school sports, and baseball. Part of my writing experience includes covering live sporting events as a credentialed media member. These events have spanned the country, from the Big East Tournament in NYC, UCLA games in LA, and Arch Madness in Saint Louis.
Besides my sports and B2B writing experience, I’m also pretty quick with a joke and have built up an extensive following (10,000+ followers and growing) on Twitter writing jokes and puns on a daily basis. Check me out @happysmartbook.
In my Spec Advertising & Manifesto Portfolio, my copy is concise and humorous. As a hobby, I frequently write creative short stories and take writing classes.
